Mon, 26 March 2007 Mar 25, 2007 - J. Paul Getty said, "I'd rather have one percent of one hundred people's effort than one hundred percent of my own." Is Getty saying that we must each do our part as a T.E.A.M (together each achieves more)? Is he saying that when we each do a little, a lot is accomplished? Or perhaps he is saying there is only so much one person can do, but that same person, if she is a part of a team, can multiply her effort, like compound interest, and collectively make great things happen? This sermon was given at Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church in Camp Springs, Prince George's County, Maryland, where we're building a multicultural, caring community.
